Tennessee Technological University (Tennessee Tech or TTU) is a public university located in Cookeville, Tennessee. As with previous responses, please note that my knowledge is current up to September 2021, and some information may have changed since then.

1. History: Tennessee Tech was founded in 1915 as the Dixie College, a private institution. In 1929, it became a public institution and was renamed Tennessee Polytechnic Institute. The institution gained university status in 1965 and adopted its current name, Tennessee Technological University.

2. Campus: TTU's main campus covers approximately 235 acres in the city of Cookeville. The campus features a mix of historic and modern architecture, with academic buildings, residence halls, and recreational facilities.

3. Academics: Tennessee Tech offers a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs across various fields of study, including arts and sciences, business, education, engineering, health sciences, and agriculture.
